TRANSFORMING WHAT IS POSSIBLE IN THE DANCE STUDIO

  • These weekends go deep!

    The 2 day workshop includes classes for Intermediate and Senior dancers, Teachers, and Parents. It takes a village to nurture and support the mental skills of dance.

    *Jr student dance classes can be added but may require half days! Additional teachers can also be brought in for a full “convention” style workshop.

    Approx. 12-14 hours

    Additional faculty may be brought in for a variety of dance styles and desired educational experience.

  • The 1 day workshop goes deep into 1-2 key mental skills. These concepts will then be explored through movement classes such as jazz, lyrical, contemporary or improv.

    A 1 hour teacher session is also encouraged to engage and inspire the full faculty.

    Levels and structure can be discussed.

    Approx. 6-8 hours

    Additional faculty may be brought in for a variety of dance styles and the desired educational experience.

Mind & Movement Experiences

In-person or Online

60 min sessions are mostly speaking/presenting to the dancers. 90-minute sessions have more time for reflections and group exercises/interaction.

  • Fuel Your Fire: Cultivating Motivation Dancers

    This session explores various motivational theories and strategies and how they can be applied to sports performance. Topics include goal orientation, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and self-determination theory.

  • Building Confidence from the inside out

    This workshop focuses on developing and enhancing self-confidence through various techniques and strategies, including positive self-talk, visualization, and goal setting.

  • Grow-getting and Goal-setting

    This session explores Growth Mindset and the importance of setting personal goals for optimal training and performance. Techniques for navigating failure, receiving feedback, and personal reflection strategies are also covered.

  • Dance with Ease: Stress Management Techniques for Dancers

    This session focuses on developing coping skills to manage stressors that may arise in sports performance, including relaxation techniques, time management, and stress management strategies.

  • Ready to Shine: Overcoming Performance Anxiety in Dance Competitions

    This course explores the psychological factors that contribute to competition and exam nerves, including anxiety, fear of failure, and perfectionism. Techniques for managing nerves and improving performance under pressure are also covered.

  • In Step Together: Improving Team Dynamics in Dance Groups

    This session explores the dynamics of team performance, including communication, accountability, and community care. The workshop also covers strategies for building team cohesion and enhancing team performance.
